Do You Support The Death Penalty? The death penalty or capital punishment is the punishment by death for a crime. Currently 58 countries worldwide allow the death penalty (including the U.S.) while 97 countries have outlawed it. The website, ISideWIth.com, presents the tolls of supporting the death penalty. Votes from all over the country polling 71% yes and 29% no.  Over 16 million votes were submitted by american voters. The tolls go more into description. For example 60% said yes, 11% for Yes but only for horrific crimes and undeniable evidence and 0% for Yes but the victims family should decide the punishment. On the other hand , 29% for no, 1% for no too many people are innocently convicted and 1% for no spending life in prison is a harsher sentence. And then they continue to go more into depth separating votes with each state and city. All categories are more in favor for The death penalty being legal. I believe that the Death Penalty should be legal but only for horrific crimes with undeniable  evidence. Though i do side with the fact that too many innocent people today are convicted with crimes they didn’t commit, that is  why I say with undeniable evidence.  But there is also other punishments that are just as harsh that can be put upon the person. Image result for death penalty
